Described by the author as a "Latin skyscraper " , Barolo is representative of an impregnated dream foreshadowing architectural attitude , unique gestures and heroic ideals , in the spirit of " resurgence " .
Its construction was necessary to ask for special permission because it exceeded almost four times the maximum permitted height for buildings in the area. It was the first Argentine built with reinforced concrete building, the stairs have 1410 steps covered with Carrara marble and decorated with ironwork, stained glass, lamps and moldings, while the walls and columns were covered by granite
Thanks to a significant share of the owners of the building were carried out restoration and conservation to keep the palace style of early twentieth century.
Numbers Palace
4,300 m2 of concrete were used; 8,300 m2 of masonry; 1,400 m2 of flooring material; 1,450 m2 for stucco and tiles, 70,000 bags of cement; 650 tons of iron and 1,500,000 bricks and similar amount of hollow bricks. The total length of the stairs is 236 meters with 1,410 steps.
The elevators (9) and hoists (2) were specially designed.
